Pizza, Popcorn, Movie!


In our stadium seating setting, a group of technology fans watched the screening of Ready Player One in all its Blu-ray splendor.   As we approach a world where VR is becoming more prevalent, what awaits us? 

Ready Player One offered one possibility.


USF Computer Club - Involved!


The 2018 Student Involvement Fair was hosted on the quad on Wednesday, Sept 5, from 11 AM to 1 PM.  Anthony Derusha, IT, 2019, and Computer Club president, manned our shared table with AfterMath  Brendan Miller, Math, 2019, CS minor and AfterMath president.    Cordie Johnson, IT 2022 was able to help out for the last half hour so neither Anthony nor Cordie missed classes.

The USF Computer Club will cohost with AfterMath a movie event on Sept 6,  Ready Player One.   We will also cohost a Gaming night on Nov 7th with AfterMath.

A Hard Drive Erasing service is being offered on Oct 3rd,  3 - 5 PM in A102, St Albert Hall.   This is our green event and our service event, as we will educate people on what occurs during the erasing of a drive and how this enables them to recycle their machines safely.

Two 3-D printing events are planned.   On Oct 23 - How to design an object for 3D printing.   On Nov 13th - How to use the 3D printer.

A LinkedIn event on creating profiles and connecting with others is planned, the tentative date is Jan 19, 2019.

The Alumni/Student Networking event is planned in April, date to be determined.

In Spring another Hard Drive Erasing service will occur at the Bluestem Festival on May 19.
