Fighting Saints 2.0

Six University of St. Francis students from Computer Science, Information Technology, and Web Application Development built an updated version of the USF Fighting Saints App.   The new mobile app features a new interface, added security, and all sports are now represented.

The logon screen changes each month to showcase a different sport.    You may logon using any of your existing logons from applications such as Google, Facebook, Amazon, Twitter, or Microsoft.  Verification is done with the provider you choose, no logon information is stored in the app.

You can find roster information about all players, current stories, the gym schedule, and the calendar of sports events.

Helping out – Eighth Annual Alumni/Student Resume-Interview Tips

On April 14, 2015, a number of our alumni from the various Computer Science majors returned to campus to lend a helping hand to our current undergrads at our Eighth Annual Student-Alumni Interview and Resume Tips meeting.   Over the years we’ve compiled the suggestions from alumni and after a brief review, students brought out their resumes and got personalized attention from our alumni on how to improve their resumes.

Students and alumni exchange ideas and catch-up with old friends.

Thanks to Alumni Relations for the gifts for our alumni.

To help keep our alumni in touch with what’s happening we talked about plans for then department, new classes and projects.   Certificates were given to students who over the past year have been supporting the USF Sustainability Website, Daniel Burke, Jordan Drane, Wembo Mbiziwo-Tiapo, and Joselyn Mena.

Our evening was as success as our alumni caught up with each other and students they remembered over refreshments.

Make it a point to  be here for next year’s event whether you’re an alum or a student – it’s a fun time.
